Macquarie brings its clients thought leadership

Craig Swanger event

We’re all familiar with the butterfly effect: a small event in one place can produce a massive effect in another place and time.

If the price of rice increases in China, what impact will this have on your portfolio? If India experiences a demographic shift to urban centres, how will this manifest in the western economy?

Macquarie Private Wealth recently hosted a series of important client events in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver that provided integrated thought leadership to almost 1,500 people. They featured internationally renowned speaker Craig Swanger, Executive Director and Head of Macquarie Global Investments.

The locations were top-tier. The dinners were impressive. The presentations were informative. But the real achievement these events accomplished was simply to start conversations with our clients. Future events will keep these conversations going. These events are just one example of the ways Macquarie’s forward thinking and global perspective enrich the understanding of our advisors and investors.

Craig Swanger, Head of Macquarie Global Investments

Craig SwangerCraig Swanger has many years of diverse banking and finance experience. For over a decade, has held senior roles in Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services Group, helping it grow to approximately over $C6 billion in funds under management.

Craig is passionate about investing in long-term fundamental macro-economic trends. He seeks links between macroeconomic, environmental, social and political trends that will combine to impact supply and demand of assets and ultimately either create long-term risks to wealth, or long-term wealth creation opportunities. He also educates investors on the world’s complicated systemic risks and growth opportunities.

As Head of Macquarie Global Investments, Craig focuses on delivering diversification benefits to institutional and retail investors across the globe. His focus is on sourcing genuinely uncorrelated investment assets—those not ultimately driven by the Dow Jones—to deliver differentiation for our investors.
