Katherine Perez

I have enjoyed serving investors as part of Macquarie Private Wealth and its predecessor firms since 1996, and have been an Investment Advisor since 1998. I obtained my B.A. in Communications from the University of Calgary, and dedicated a number of my early career years to working in the media. First, I joined an entrepreneurial magazine and then produced and co-hosted a live radio show called "The Money Manager" on AM-1060 CKMX on Saturday mornings for four years. Along with my co-host Lou Schizas, featured analyst on BNN for seven years, I interviewed business authors, corporate leaders and investment managers. I also called in the live market updates in the morning and at close of business on weekdays during this time.

My media experiences inspired me to seek a career in the world of investing and I've never looked back. In many ways, my skill for asking questions is as valuable to my advisory services as it was to my work as a journalist.

When I am not helping clients with their investments, I enjoy offshore sailing and whale watching in the Pacific with my husband and two young children.
