Proven process

Engaging clients in their own planning process is an important part of my practice. Before making any investment recommendations, I will work with you to develop an investment plan and Investment Policy Statement. This is probably the single most important step in achieving investment success.

My disciplined process recognizes you as an individual with unique needs and goals. We will review your current situation and then help lay out an achievable and realistic path to success. The six steps I follow are:

 Proven process pie chart

Step 1: Understand your needs and goals

The initial meeting — I explain my approach to wealth management and get an initial understanding of your situation today and where you want to be in the future.

Step 2: Assess your financial situation

The fact-finding meeting — I perform an in-depth assessment of your goals and objectives, review your current situation in detail and gather all relevant information.

Step 3: Develop personalized recommendations

Next, I spend time analyzing what I have learned and developing a series of recommendations. I prepare a comprehensive plan that restates your life and financial goals, reviews your current assets and liabilities, and formulates a comprehensive strategy to help you succeed.

Step 4: Document and present solutions

In our third meeting, I present my findings to you, review your goals and objectives, explain the rationale behind our recommendations, and ask for your feedback. The process is a two-way dialogue at all times.

Step 5: Implement your strategy

The rubber hits the road: I implement the plan.

Step 6: Monitor and refine your strategy

The sixth step never really ends. On an ongoing basis, I monitor your holdings, adjust as needed, review your plan, and report on your portfolio’s performance. Life brings unexpected changes and no plan is written in stone. We will adapt when the need arises. To keep in touch and manage your money proactively, I will make contact with you at least quarterly, or more often if you prefer.
