In addition to our investing acumen and thorough due diligence, we strive to offer our clients opportunities and services that differentiate us from other advisors.
Throughout the year, we offer clients the opportunity to come and listen to featured speakers at wine and cheese events. This past year, we had Macquarie’s chief economist from Australia present to a group of clients in addition to a number of events with local analysts. Historically, we have also hosted a client Christmas party that features a distinguished speaker such as one of our analysts from a sector that we believe to be of particular interest at a certain point in time.
Throughout the year we often invite clients to join us for lunch presentations from companies that we believe to be of particular importance. Depending on the level of interest, these opportunities are numerous. We also like to invite clients to join us for private, technical meetings with company management to the extent that they are interested.
When required we prepare custom reports and performance analysis specific to an individual client’s needs.
In addition to Macquarie’s world-class research that we make available to clients, we often obtain and/or create analysis specific to a client’s unique needs. This would also include our own personalized commentary on markets during difficult periods or times of unique opportunity. During the 2008 credit crisis, we provided two to three personalized comments per week via email to assist clients in dealing with extreme volatility and uncertainty during that period.
Each year we encourage clients to submit recommendations for a charitable organization that we can support with our annual charity event. Thus far we have raised money for Calgary Hospice, The Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Kidney Foundation. Make your suggestion for the 2011 event. Learn more about our Charity Events.
