Our vision

My investment philosophy

My investment philosophy centres on capital conservation. I believe that it is critical that investors should not take any more risk than is absolutely necessary to achieve their goals.

Investing is not about "beating the market" or making as much as you can as quickly as you can. It's about allocating the resources you have available in the most efficient manner possible. It's also about earning absolute returns and meeting your objectives regardless of market performance.

Leadership for individuals, families and business owners

I work with a wide range of clients who understand and appreciate the need for professional advice. Many of the people I work with are retirees who need to ensure their capital is being carefully preserved. They may also need to generate tax-efficient income, have resources they would like to devote to their grandchildren's education, or wish to set up the tax-efficient transfer of their estate to future generations and/or charities.

I also work with pre-retirees who are seeking capital growth towards retirement or other goals such as funding their children's education.

Business owners usually have needs similar to retirees or pre-retirees, but also have the business itself to consider. Business succession planning is very important and should ideally be started up to two years before the expected sale of the business or transition to a family member or other purchaser. When working with business owners who are not looking for an exit strategy, I help to invest the company's liquid assets according to the needs and goals of the owner(s).
