Bob has been an Investment Advisor since 1992 and joined the predecessor firm to Macquarie Private Wealth in 2006. Moving from a bank-owned firm to a boutique style firm provided for a more entrepreneurial and dynamic environment with a strong client focus, a high level of independence and a get-it-done attitude. Bob is a Macquarie Ambassador, a designation attained only by the highest calibre Macquarie Investment Advisors.
Bob received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Bishop’s University in 1979 and went on to get his Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Finance from McGill University in 1982. He also holds both the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations, which enable him to assist you with tax issues, financial planning, estate planning as well as other personal finance matters.
Bob lives in North Toronto with his wife and adult daughter. He enjoys traveling, theatre and sports. Charitable involvement is an important component of his life and work. Aside from being an active donor, he is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bishop’s University Foundation, on the Development Committee at Sick Kids Hospital, on the Legacy Giving Committee at Mount Sinai Hospital and a member of the Macquarie Group Foundation Canadian Advisory Committee.
Christa works with Bob in providing a high level of personal service to his clients. She is responsible for providing account administration and servicing client requests and needs. Christa is fully licensed and can enter client transactions as needed.
Before joining the predecessor firm to Macquarie Private Wealth in 2005, Christa worked for Canadian ShareOwner Investments Inc. as a Customer Services Representative. Christa attended the University of Toronto, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Philosophy. She has since acquired the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation with the Canadian Securities Institute.
Peter Fortune is an Estate Planning Specialist with Macquarie Insurance Services Ltd.†, a wholly owned subsidiary of Macquarie Private Wealth, and is a consultant and resource to Bob’s clients. He brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. He has held various roles including Industrial Accountant, Financial Analyst, and Branch Manager for a major Canadian Chartered Bank, and field representative in the life insurance industry. Peter's extensive knowledge and experience well position him to provide the tailored solutions and services needed by high net worth clients.
Rogerscasey Canada provides third-party, independent due diligence to Macquarie’s Integrated Management Account (IMA) Program. They provide detailed analysis which allows MPW Investment Advisors to be aware of issues such as performance, risk, manager experience and changes to the personnel involved in managing various IMA mandates.
